About Us

When I started planning to open a salon in Portland Maine, my main focus was to create a cozy, safe space for our clients. I wanted it to feel like walking into a friends home where you could grab yourself a cup of tea or coffee and plop down on the couch. I wanted it to feel like a space you can get work done while your color is processing. I wanted it to feel like a safe space to relax and not talk if you don’t want to and feel comfortable in doing that. I hope I’ve succeeded in these things and that you feel safe and welcomed when you visit your salon home here at Hygge.
